1. How did you begin your career in POS IT?

I started my sales career working for a catering equipment company selling into bars, restaurants and hotels in the Bristol area. After doing this for some time, I realised that sales was the career for me, and I decided to look into something that I would find both interesting and challenging, which is technology and IT. I attended an interview for the role of Junior Account Manager for a company specialising in barcode and EPOS Solutions. With no experience in the sector I was given the chance and the rest is history!

2. What is your proudest moment in your career to date?

Working at Oxhoo has been a great opportunity. The quality of the Oxhoo range and their reputation in the sector was a real draw for me. Being relatively new to the UK market has meant that I have been able to contribute to the growth of the company, which I am really proud of. Since I started in this industry I have travelled to some amazing places, gained a wealth of knowledge and met some incredible people some of which have become great friends.

3. Any interests or hobbies outside of the office?

Yes, I am a big boxing fan. More recently, I have started to follow basketball which is down to my 9 year old son becoming obsessed with the sport! We attend most Bristol Flyers home games and I’ve promised to take him across the pond to catch an NBA game or two in the future. Also, there is nothing I like more than a long walk with my Labrador, Hooch, in the English countryside.

4. What are your thoughts on the future of POS?

POS get more exiting year after year. I think this is down to manufacturers developing more exiting designs and more advanced functionality and ease of use for the operator. This is one of the reasons I am glad to be working at Oxhoo. We already have a fantastic portfolio of future-proof products and are always thinking of new products and designs to benefit our clients and customers.
